"As the creator of MedART's Take Art to Heart, and a member of Tulane Music n Medicine, I have had myriad opportunities to enjoy musical talent in a city built on the arts-- the home of Jazz, the Jewel of the Bayou, New Orleans, LA. Angeli's debut album, "I lied when I said it Wasn't About You" is rare because each track demonstrates the talent and beauty that is requisite for longevity in the musical world. The album is lush and decadent, soulful and sultry, like a young Sarah McLachlan, or even Evanescence (if you took out the teenage angst and metal riffs). The lyrics are stirring poetry, and the vocal virtuosity will leave the listener looking for the repeat button on their CD player.
