From the fine things, just a few

"The Orchestra Sabor was the original and personal Mark Diamond's project in the late 60s which included vocals by Angel Canales. Only one disc was made out from that union and "Mas Sabor" (originally named just "Sabor") is the one we're talking about. Just a handful of songs, all arranged and composed by pianist Mark Diamond's unique genius and superbly sung by Canales, leaving an unmatchable flavour to neighbourhood and creating an expectation which would never be fulfilled due to they'd perform never again. The Diamond's virtuosity is well known but his career as leader of his own band not, actually, his solo works are few. Perhaps his greatest one is an album he made in 1975 beside to Frank Dante and Chivirico Davila called "Beethoven's Fifth" (currently out-of-print, one of the most under rated disc in the Salsa history) along with this one. After all, there's a Spanish saying that goes "De lo bueno poco" (more or less it means "From the fine things, just a few") So take a step inside to try and enjoy a bit from this unequal flavour. It really worth it."
