The Definitive Andy Narell CD

"I've been a fan of Andy Narell since the mid-'80's. Since then his output has been, in my opinion, varied. I really enjoyed this album. Many of the tunes on it are featured on his recent double album release "Live In South Africa." Take my advice; even though it's packaged as a two-for-one, "Live In S.A." is more expensive than Long Time Band. Save your money and get this instead. It's all the Andy Narell you'll ever need."

"Fine sounding steel drum music is hard to find. Here, as in Narell's other albums, the sound is crystal clear, and his skills are superb.This album is fun. While Narell blends jazz with his drums, his calypsos are finest and make the album worth owning. If you want to impress your friends with the finest sounding calypso as played by steel drums anywhere, aquire the Narell albums. They are the reference in steel drum music, period."
