"What do you do when the Worlds Top DJ gives you a sick mix of the most exclusive cuts in d'n'b? You buy it and give the man his due. Andy C keeps putting it down with no end insight, THANK GOD! You might also in enjoy AK1200 - At Close Range

"Drum and bass needed a new superstar. The big names of the 90's are fading - Goldie has been distinctly quiet on the production front as he pursues an acting career, and the once-mighty Grooverider has struggled for form on his most recent mixes (FabricLive 06 and The Harder They Come). Enter Andy C. A man who has been with drum and bass since its inception under various guises, including Origin Unknown and Ram Trilogy. And a man who, with Nightlife, comfortably silences the critical suggestions made over the past couple of years that drum and bass has become stale. And that's because Nightlife is anything but. Even thought its been sitting in my CD stacker for the past 6 months I still find it hard to turn off. Smart track selection, brilliant timing and Andy C's trademark fast, tight mixes make this an unmissable CD for drum and bass fans. The first six tracks hit hard and fast with dark, edgy, swooping basslines that come to a climax on a crushing remix of Bad Company's "Grunge" - a track so intense that it it wisely only allowed to run for a minute, before the listener is allowed to catch their breath on Fresh's light, soulful "Without U". The pattern of building the mix to a climax, before dropping it back a notch works just as well through the tech-step laced middle part of the record when the summery, latin tones of the omnipresent "Capoeira" intervene. For the most part though, the dark punchy tracks dominate, and so it's no surprise that the endgame is peppered with the likes of Bad Company/Rawhill Cru's crushing, ragga-tinged "Mo Fire", before closing with the frenetic "Signal", featuring a fairly cheeky but compelling sci-fi sample. It's one of those mix albums that seems to end too soon and begs to be played over again. And again. And while the classic albums like Goldie's "Timeless" and Grooverider's "Pure Drum and Bass" mix are genuine highlights, one can't help but feel that Andy C is pushing drum and bass forwards rather more aggressively than his comrades these days."

"Andy C is the best DNB Dj in the land, and this mix confirms it. This mix is insane. The best tracks on the cd are Bandwagon Blues and my all-time favorite track HOTNESS. Andy C mixes so smoothly and vividly. And for most of you who have yet to hear Andy C's next Drum and Bass Arena CD; you're in for a treat. It far surpasses Nightlife. So, if you loved Nightlife, you'll be blown away by his next Drum and Bass Arena mix...Keep Ya Heads Rockin"
