Very Good, But Could Have Been More, More, More...

"I admit it... I loved disco music... and Andrea True's "More, More, More" was a big part of it. So I was thrilled when I saw this CD compilation as my original vinyl albums had been played to death. The tracks on this compilation make up a big part of her disco career, but there is something missing. All the tracks from the original "More, More, More" album are here, and yes, this was her best work; mainly due to the great production work of Gregg Diamond. There is also the 7" edited version of "More, More, More" on here. The rest of the album is made up of her last two hits "N.Y. You Got Me Dancing," and "What's Your Name, What's Your Number;" both in 7" and album versions. What IS missing though is more tracks from her "White Witch" album; which a lot of people don't even know existed. That album was a follow-up to the "More, More, More" album. It included "N.Y..." and "What's Your Name...," but also some other noteworthy tracks that should have been included on a greatest hits compilation. At the very least, the title track of the second album "White Witch" could have been included. Still, I guess the company that released this CD was aiming more towards what the buying public was familiar with. If you are a fan of Andrea True's work, you will definately want this CD compilation to add to your collection. However, if you are a BIG fan of her work, you will want to get this CD, and THEN go out to an oldies record store and find a copy of her "White Witch" album to go along with it!"

"If you are looking for the song from THE SEX AND THE CITY promos here it is! "More, More, More" is a great song, and it is probably one of the best disco songs out there. The rest of the material comes close to that song's classic lush appeal! This is great for anybody who appreciates good dance music!"
One brief yet memorable piece of disco history

"Some very good reminders of what it was like in the 70's to dance yourself into a sweat and party with friends without the dreaded shadow of AIDS hanging over your head. This was an era of pure fun and hedonism. And Andreas few songs of legacy are a part of that. While the straight audiences knew her mainly for the title tune, her very energetic "N.Y. N.Y. You got me dancin" was a big GAY hit with her even naming the hottest gay bars in NY at the time. [Listen closely] Cheesey? maybe, but worth it? DEFINITELY!!!!!!!!"

"One of the most enjoyable disco recordings that I have ever had the pleasure of hearing. I really dig those groovy tunes."
More, More, More is a fantastic song, but....

"I was really rooting for Andrea True, really I was. One of my personal all time favorites, "More, More, More", is easily a 5 star song (and makes this buy actually worth it), but it is the only good track. The rest was pretty embarrassing disco cheese. It would have made a good soundtrack to a late 70's roller boogie porno movie had one ever been made. I suggest finding the title track on a compilation of disco hits for more enjoyment. Looks like Miss True finally got some respect this year, though, as the band Len sampled some of "More, More, More" on it's hit song "Steal My Sunshine"."
