""And she answered", the title chosen by Wolfgang Puschnig, Linda Sharrock and Uli Scherer, is a wonderful tapestry of sounds produce by the alto saxophone, alto flute, hojak and shakuhachi masteres by Puschnig, the piano, prepared piano and keyboards played bu Uli Scherer and the haunting, earthy and deep voice of Linda Sharrock. The pieces of the album share all of them a sublime quality that both inspires to meditate and to reflect quietly on the beauty and structure of the music, that is rooted much of it in Eastern and Nordic folk music, and some in jazz. Take for example the amazing rendition of Ornette Coleman's classic "Lonely Woman": here the voice of Linda Sharrock actually conveys the tragic feeling of feminine loneliness that probably Coleman himself might not be able to represent that well, which is nevertheless the best tribute that can be rendered to such an inventive composer. In conclusion, this is a wonderful work produced for the ECM label that is sad not to have it available easily, probably because it dates back to 1989. I hope ... ECM please us someday making this wonderful compact disk available for good music lovers."
