The statement that "everything is theater" nowadays can be regarded as critical of our culture - and yet also matter-of-fact; scarcely anywhere in life today do spaces remain unstaged. In any case, implicit theatricality has become a significant feature of many contemporary works of music, as with all those recorded here.
