"This jazz history is great value and well put together. It presents many pleasant surprises; I found the juxtaposition of many different facets of jazz music together lead to a deeper appreciation of the genre.

I have minor criticisms about the transfer quality (mostly good, but inconsistent), and that it would have been nice to have liner notes that where specific to the content, but otherwise highly recommended."
