CD Reviews

Great CD! Exactly what I was looking for...

"I bought this CD along with 2 other weight loss CD's (one by Glenn Harrold and another by Tina Saatchi (sp?)... "I Decide / I create..." This one is by far the best. His voice is relaxing and easy to listen to. There are 4 different tracks on the CD; each of the meditations is different and I like them all. Track #4, though, is my favorite. I believe you can affect your own metabolism with hypnosis / guided imagery and I have been looking for something similar to track #4. It takes you on a journey into your mind's "control room" where you can "reset the dials" that determine your metabolic rate. The descriptions are easy to follow and in some cases quite detailed. I enjoy listening on my ipod before I fall asleep. I highly recommend this CD."
Fantastically insightful. Extremely well-executed.

"Meditations for weight loss has impressed me more than any other meditation CD that I have listened to. The narrator seems to know the exact right things to say for the space that I am in. For instance, when settling into a meditative space, he provides time to breath deeply and really let the relaxation enter your body. He also allows you the time to find uncomfortable parts of your body and readjust them so that you can feel comfortable for 20 minutes of meditation (referring to the 3rd track, "Ideal Body Image Meditation").

I like how he says, "you might find yourself saying..." This form of suggestion is so much more effective than saying it forcefully. My subconscious doesn't fight it.

In the 1st track, I appreciate how he suggests finding more satisfying ways of meeting needs than eating between meals. I agree that finding other enjoyable ways to take a break is an important tool for overcoming unhealthy eating habits.

In the 2nd track, "Grace Before Eating," I find that playing it while I am doing other things is also effective. It reminds me to slow down and check in with my body. It helps me to think of food as a source of nourishment and to value what I put into my body for fuel. It also helps to put me in a calm state of mind so that I don't eat compulsively.

This CD is so insightful and intuitive. It really is well thought-out, in a way that I have not experienced from other CDs. The narrator's voice is very calming and soothing. He sounds like a very self-possessed and calm adult. (Unlike some of the other CDs where the narrator sounds like a 12-year old kid or like she is talking to 5 year olds.)

The background sounds are calming and easy to relax to. The production quality of this CD is excellent.

This is a fantastic CD and I highly recommend it. In fact, I'm going to search for more from this author right now.
