"This album is the deluxe edition of the Alkaline Trio's latest cd, Crimson. It contains the original cd, which is excellent. However, if you wish to see an in depth review of that, then go to its page. This review is for the bonus disc included with the original album. It contains the demo tracks for most of the songs on the album, as well as acoustic versions of some songs. While it is refreshing to listen to slightly different versions of many of the songs on Crimson, it is the acoustic tracks which truly make this disc worth it. The Alkaline Trio truly shines when performing unplugged, as heard in Mercy Me and most especially in Time to Waste. I've listened to that song on the original album countless times, but its acoustic performance on the bonus disc blew me away. I strongly recommend buying the deluxe edition if you are considering getting Crimson for the first time. I even recommend it if you already own the original, the bonus disc is worth the money."
