"This recording is a great introduction to Alice Babs. This small, disciplined group of dedicated musicians packs so much fun and playfulness into an all-too-brief vocal jazz frolic that at the end it always leaves me sad that there isn't more.

The energy, precision, and virtuosity of Alice Babs' vocals are startling on this album, yet the music is full of fun and humor. It has a refreshing lightness and humility, and I get none of that sense of grandstanding or unreachability that I sometimes get, as an untrained ear, when I to jazz.

It's just pure enjoyment--virtuoso goofiness and fun."
