Mystical Legacy by Ali Jihad Racy

"Dr. Racy is a great master of this instrument (the Lebanese buzuq, similar in some ways to the Turkish saz and Greek bouzouki) and of the Arabic improvisatory form called "taqsim." His virtuosity is really amazing. The buzzy sounding buzuq is very pleasant to listen to. Dr. Racy learned the instrument as a child growing up in a Lebanese village that was particularly known for the players of this instrument. Anyone interested in Arabic music, world music, or acoustic instruments will most likely enjoy this album."
