Alfredo malabello is an australian singer of italian background with a rich and diverse career in music and film. After an extensive stint performing in new york, alfredo malabello relocated back to australia having secured a role in the acclaimed sbs series carla cametti. He subsequently recorded his debut album ciao bella, to be released on the sbs music label. Ciao bella is a collection of eight italian and english songs from the 60s and 70s, as well as three original compositions which came out of reconnecting with his italian roots after years of being on the road, touring and acting. Alfredo malabello put his own distinctive style to each of the well-known tracks, including the ballad il cuore e un zingaro (the heart is a gypsy) interpreted as a cha-cha, while the popular acoustic number il ragazzo della via gluck is now in bossa nova style.
