CD Reviews

Really rather good

"My guess is this will sell and sell and sell. It is ultra seductive, beautifully assembled, glutinous and hypnotic music. The first track is a real scene stealing signature. It certainly brightens up a grubby south London morning, and could probably brighten up the sun. If you have an inclination towards Dorfmeisterish dancescapes, you won't go terribly wrong with this. Makes you grin on the bus. I am hugely pleased with it."

"I bought this CD on a hunch at a used music store for $4, not knowing what I was getting myself into. What I heard when I finally popped it into my stereo was a great selection of downbeat tracks - all very smooth but always upbeat enough to keep you from drifting off. Great dinner party/chill music for when you've had enough of your Air's or Zero 7's. In my opinion, an underappreciated gem of the field."

"I first heard of Alexkid on soundtrack for a computer game "Virtual Spring Break". I found myself more interested in the music than the game. I bought "Bienvenida" and it stayed in my CD player for a week. It was the only thing I listened to. It's funky, cool, and breezy. "Esmeralda" and "Night Lines" are my favorite tracks. Perfect for listening to at the beach or lounging by the pool. I would also recommmend "Mint" as well."
