AKA Albion Band & Albion Country Band. Originally released in 1976 on the Harvest label this is the first digitally remastered version of this album. An essential purchase for fans of British folk-rock. Includes two bonus tracks 'Merry Sherwood Rangers' (alternate version) & 'On Christmas Night All Christians Sing'. A number of the tracks were recorded live in the studio, complete with dancing by the Albion Morris Men, which helps to capture some of the excitement of a live concert. Includes additional sleeve-notes & faithfully restored art

A Most Excellent Offering By Ashley Hutchings & Friends

"A wonderful collection of English folk tunes done in electrified folk-rock style by many of the same musicians who collaborated on Morris On, Son of Morris On, and so on. I particularly enjoy some of the tunes featuring ancient music virtuoso Philip Pickett playing Renaissance-period instruments on this disc. Also, check out his more recent CD entitled "The Bones of All Men", recorded in collaboration with Richard Thompson on electric guitar."
