"06/03/01 While I have had this CD for a few years now, it seems to find its way back into one of the six players in the house almost too frequently. I was surprised to see that no one reviewed this CD. While St. Jon has been best known for his work as keyboard player with Billy Squier, his CD shows a lot of talent and promise. Several good hooks are found within the tracks, which makes this CD addictive, which explains why it finds itself in one of my personal players on a regular basis. One cannot help but notice it isn't just good hooks that carry this CD, but plenty of keyboard talent as well. There is plenty of fun content to be found for any 'air keyboard' player you may see stuck in traffic at a busy intersection. Billy Squier does perform on two tracks with St. Jon, which as previously stated got my initial attention, but it isn't just Squier that keeps this CD in rotation within my home, it is most definitely the talents found in St. Jon. St. Jon is touring this summer with Billy Squier in celebration of the release of Don't Say No twenty years ago. "I can easily say that Alan St. Jon's Sky Daddy is the best CD that I ever bought, and I buy many CD's. You can definately see the clear talent that Alan St. Jon has when you buy this CD. Sky Daddy is filled with many good tunes and the lyrics are incredible, I like the combination of lyrics and melodies the best, Alan, being a keyboard player, singer, and songwriter really knows how to pick the perfect tune to accompany the song lyrics and emotions. Moreover, you can tell he writes from the heart and when as I and many people have known, when an artist writes and works from the heart you can be sure to expect a fabulous CD. Alan St. Jon features Billy Squire and Phoebe Snow who are also well known musiscians and they do a great job coming together with St. Jon. Everyone who has bought this CD or listened to it has told me good comments and how much they liked the songs and were looking forward to hearing more from him. So, Alan St. Jon's "Sky Daddy" is definately worth it! (...)"
