"Now THIS is the Cotton Eyed Joe how it was supposed to be played.....not the idiotic version by Rednex.

I have Al Dean's original cassette tape from 1980 recorded in Houston, Texas and it STILL PLAYS. But just in case, I'm going to order the CD it immediately.



I remember doing the actual cotton eyed joe at a few ranches in Bandera, Texas as a little girl. It was fun getting in a line with literally hundreds of people dancing to this kind of music.

Those were the good ol days of country dancing and country western music.



While I am certainly NOT a country music fan of today, I really have enjoyed listening to Al Dean for nearly 26 years. There's nothing else like this album that I know of. Wish there was.
