Good music, Off the beaten track, but not too far.

"I recommend this album highly for those who have listened to numerous Jazz albums and enjoy the music thoroughly (myself), but need a new spin to the standard blues, soul, or funk/fusion rythyms. The title does not deceive, this album consists of solid Jazz lines combined with a touch of traditional African instruments and rythyms. I also recommend purchasing if you are just plain nuts about music in all of its varieties (myself) and want to try something new.For other music fans, some instruments on this album may sound off-key and the tempo somewhat disjointed and not really having any rythym at all. Listen to the Nights on Saturn clip. If you feel that this track is detestable, but you plain love jazz, then you will probably still enjoy the remaining three quarters of the album, which is solid, soul-inspiring jazz, with a few unique sounds to boot."
