"The way aguakate plays makes for a different sound than most merengue out there. In many ways they try to simplify the instrumentation, heavily relying on strong tambora, conga, and accordeon. If you are a fan of those instruments buy this cd today. Shino can really write excellent lyrics with a strong double meaning, specially on Caramelo and Todo el mundo. Sometimes I would have preffered if they had used a stronger bass and/or piano prescence in some of their songs, to create a more layered sound. But overall a great cd."

"If you love Merengue then you will like this album. It has different sound from most Merengue artist out there incorporating also elements of R&B and Reggae(Raggaeton). If you want an album that will keep you moving, with a comedic edge while still talking about everyday issues like love and relationships then this is the one for you. I think this album represents what living in a place in New York is all about socially and music wise. It is about taking some elements from other cultures and use it to suit your message/agenda/culture but still keeping the foundation that you started out with."
