Synopsis

Album Description
Chris Agnelli and Robbie Nelson made names for themselves as two of Ireland's top DJs but soon found themselves elevated to superstar status after their first single as a production team, "El Niño," became one of summer 1998's top Ibiza anthems. Spun by many of the top trance DJs and featured on high-profile albums such as Paul Oakenfold's Tranceport, "El Niño" laid the foundation for the duo's newfound career as producers. Their follow-up, "Everyday," which found them moving in a more melodic direction, peaked at number 17 on the U.K. charts, while their third single, "Embrace," did nearly as well, peaking at 29. In late 2000, the duo released their first album, Hudson Street, which featured the duo producing a wide variety of styles outside of the progressive trance anthem template. CD Reviews

Xtravaganza Does It Again

"Xtravaganza records has to be the best trance label in the industry. With record mates such as Airscape, Tomski, Rhythm of Life, and Chicane, Agnelli and Nelson just increase the amount of high grade talent that Xtravaganza has to offer. This album has been a long awaited event in my opinion, at least in the United States, where trance music continues to take backseat in the mainstream market. Agnelli and Nelson prove here that they are not only great mixers, as they did on the recent Ibizia Euphoria Vol. 2, but that they can definitely create an entire album of great listening trance. Whether at a party or at home relaxing, this album is great for either. The album starts off with the great track "Singing For The Future". Although it is short, and very dreamy, it is a great quality tune. It also serves as the perfect intro to the album. The next song "Slide" continues this pattern, although it is a little deeper sounding. Next we get a great vocal track "Let Love Come", which starts to pick up the tempo a bit. From there on we get the more popular tunes, "Embrace", "Hudson Street", and "Everyday". The rest of the tracks surroundding these support them nicely as well. If you like Agnelli and Nelson's work from their recent singles, then you should definitely enjoy this first full length release."

"This CD came out like 6 years ago, and is one of the truely great trance albums out there. Why then 6 years later do I stumble upon Agnelli & Nelson's Hudson St. with no comments? Anyway, this CD rocks, the first 2 tracks are a little really slow, and had me worried this one was gonna be another snoozer like Chicane's. Track 3 "Let Love Come", a vocal trancer, thankfully wakes things up a little, 4 slows down a little more still pretty mellow, 6 - 10 will have you bangin' off the walls though. This CD is filled with anthems, an absolute must own."

"I first heard an Agnelli and Nelson song at a club (Everyday) and the first time I heard it, it sent chills down my back, so much in fact I went and asked the DJ who it was. Well since he was a local DJ trying to make a buck he wouldnt tell me but insisted I buy his mix, so I did and imagine my surprise when he didnt have the artists name or anything about any track. So for two years I tried to figure out who the group was that did that song. It wasnt until I bought Trance Classics Vol. 2 when I finally figured out who it was. Of course on that paticular CD it was the vocal version but it still sent those same chills down my back.

Agnelli and Nelson has been I much appreciated add to my collection they are what true trance is. The CD is very well done and I hope they release a new CD soon. There is only one song that I dont much care for and even that is an ok song (Obea)"
