CD Reviews

After 7 is on point...once again

"I dont know about some of those other groups out there. But After 7 makes hits with their songs. "Reflections" is no exception from 'Til You Do Me Right', 'Cryin For It', 'How Did He Love You' and 'Damn Thing Called Love'. To the slightly uptempo 'Sprung On It'.

This cd is jammed with hits. I only wish that After 7 was still doing there thing. I'd also like to see Keith get more time doing lead vocals as well. They are on point with Melvin & Kevon singing lead vocals. But all 3 of them would've been on point for real.

But still i say check out this cd. As well as "Takin My Time" and "After 7". No question "Reflections" is a very worthy addition to any CD collection.

So check it out. I doubt you'll be disappointed. From an After & fan and more importantly a fan of great music."
This Album Adds to the Bounty of Hits They Already Have...

"Tremendous singing talent - you listen to Kevon and Melvin and realize that they truly were born to sing. Keith, as always, needed more opporunities to make an impact. I like at least 2-3 songs on this album, especially "Til You Do Me Right" and "How Do You Tell The One?" I've seen these guys twice live at the old Strand in Redondo Beach - they were simply awesome. The Real Deal."
Seems like the good things in life all end too soon!!

"The first part of this review is for the group After 7, I would like to thank you for giving me a reason to listen r&b music again. There's only a few groups that can harminize anymore, so I must say may when you guys broke up, I was mentally devastated and took the day off work and listen to your music the whole day. No I am not a fanatic but some of us just do not care for the stuff that is being played on the radio, so when a *REAL* group lays it down like you guys, its hard to accept that its over. Until I heard your music I listened to Sam Cooke, and felt that any group or singer that could not deliver the feeling, passion and vocal power as Sam Cooke delivered in his classic "A Change Is Gonna Come" and anyone that hasn't heard it needs to hear it. And then you will know what it really means to"BRING THE PAIN" to a song. So to my brothers After7 In life we know "A CHANGE ALLWAYS HAS TO COME" and out of change comes something good, like Kevons solo project. I am not aware of why you guys broke up, but never forget from where you came, and the struggle to get where you are. And there are alot of people out there that want to see you guys performing together again. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Sent from the most important thing in the music business "THE MUSIC BUYER" Pete October 29,2000 Largo Maryland netscapperk@netscape.net peace..."
