CD Reviews

Absolutely Brilliant!
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This CD is truly amazing. It captures the essence of the film remarkably. It has everything from the softest of violin solos to the most soul raising choir ensembles. It is also so unique, and has so much range, that you can put it on repeat for eternity and not get tired or bored. If you have seen the film, this CD is a must-have. It takes you right back to Sue and Jude, and their struggles against society's conventions, and will take you on an emotional journey. From Jude's early days dreaming of Christminster to him first laying his eyes upon the beautiful and strong willed Sue Bridehead all the way through the film to the devastating end. Kudos to Adrian Johnston for composing such a wonderful, brilliant, masterful and beautiful work of musical art. Highly Recommended."

"So many years from the release of the movie(1996) and this soundtrack still makes me fell sad and at the same time... happy .It's great music not for these days , of hip-hop and Rap , it's for the human spirit to may touch the clouds above and talk to god, it's a's a's a cry... it's a shout....How many people know that? Please watch the movie and i 'm sure you will note this score..."

"It took me almost a month to be able to listen to this soundtrack without a box of kleenex. Now, this cd rarely leaves my stereo. From the desparately lonely opening strings to the echoing notes at the end, the cd is absolutely perfect. I am constantly waiting word of another Adrian Johnston work."
