(5 out of 5 stars)

"Adama is gifted with the precious ability to remember the songs she composes in her dreams and that ability has allowed her to create some of the best compositions I've had the pleasure of hearing in a very long while.

Her music is the kind that truly moves the soul... her lyrics are so well written and a joy to discover over and over again. Each time I hear one of her songs I find a new meaning. The production of Delicate Dragon is pristine, and so full of love.

Some of my thoughts on the songs....

1.) The Moment: a song that so many can relate to, this middle eastern flavored mid-tempo groove is packed with words of inspiration. A reminder to all of us to live in the now is one that I could really appreciate it. Beautiful lyrics, touching vocal and wonderful production... really beautiful trumpet gives this song a very smooth, dreamy feel.

2.) Show Me The Exit: I love this song... who can't relate to this uptempo funky cut? We all feel like we're bored of our life's film and that there is MORE from time to time. A very fun and sometimes tongue in cheek, cleverly crafted song that for me gives a very strong visual picture as I listen. Funky pop/electronic sounds and superb musical arrangement.

3.) Take Me Home: any wounded heart can surely appreciate the sentiment in this ballad. We've all been there... hurt, but then another soul reaches out and we re-connect in a beautiful way. Adama's voice is so vulnerable and honest on this song... always makes me tear up when I listen.

4.) Rain: This is a wonderful mid-up tempo song. The production of this song is perfect... Gili Wiseburgh (producer) and Adama did a superb job with all the sound choices for this particular arrangement. I mean, you literally FEEL like you are in a dry parched land waiting for RAIN when you listen. The lyrics, again, are top notch and the vocal arrangement is superb!

5.) Making Way: This is my personal ANTHEM #1 in this collection of songs. I just can listen to this one on loop OVER and OVER and OVER! It is so inspiring for those who are pushing to reach a goal. You really have to listen to the lyric to get what I mean... treat your soul to this song now! Adama's vocal is like water to your creative seed. It's got a great beat and catchy vibe that will have you singing it over and over again as an affirmation for your soul!

6.) I Like To Smile: Ha ha, this song is great becuase it's like giving someone the middle finger in the nicest way possible while moving on your way to something better with a big fat smile on your face. I guess this song really spoke to me in a hard time and that's the feeling I got when I first listened and it stuck. It really encourages you to move on and not worry so much about bad stuff that's happened to you... smile... breathe in... move on... go for it and use whatever experience you had to reach higher, push harder and not focus energy on the negative of the past, but focus it on the future. Super groove again in this uptempo cut.

7.) Hanniman: This is the most clever steamy song I've had the pleasure of listening to. It's very groove oriented and sensual in delivery and you just feel every breath of heat from it. It's almost like a ghost summoning you in an erotic dream. I can't fully describe this song... it's one you just have to listen to.

8.) Wyte Love: Another sensual, mid-tempo steamer from Adama! What I love about her writing is the use of very clever metaphor. This one is much more coy and playful than Hanniman, so it lends a different flavor to the entire collection of songs. It's interesting that in this one she really juxtaposes intellect with pure sensuality... it makes for a very interesting song both musically and lyrically. The rhythm arrangement of this track is also standout.

9.) Delicate Dragon: A dreamscapy ballad, this is the title track. It has slightly more alternative, leaning towards rock influenced vibe. The marriage of styles truly works and it's one of Adama's strongest vocal performances. It's smooth, yet there is this heaviness to her vocal tone in this one that fits so well with the song. A fabulous arrangement that allows the song to breathe... it's not cluttered and everything lives in its place so well. It's one of those songs you will dream about, it impacts you so deeply. Incredibly lyric to this song also along with a super background vocal arrangement.

10.) Time To Move On: a mid-tempo groove with a very pretty arrangement. This is the perfect graduation song or a song for when you are embarking on a new adventure or chapter in your life.

11.) This is my ANTHEM #2 from this collection. This haunting ballad really affected me in a profound way. The words of this song are ones you will want to write down and read and you will want to hear this song once a day! Silver Tree is songwriting perfection as far as I am concerned. Adama's very delicate vocal treatment of this song compliments the gorgeous, lush orchestral performance my the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra. This song was a dream come true for Adama as she arranged the orchestral parts in a dream she had. It's simply AMAZING.

I highly recommends this collection of songs. A lot of effort was put into the writing, production and presentation. The artwork is so stunning. I've never seen a project, Indie or Major, with such beautiful artwork. It's a huge booklet of Adama's lyrics set to stunning artwork by Radim Malinic who is quite famous for his combination of vectors and photos in a beautiful style that just adds to the stunning beauty that is "Delicate Dragon".

This is a CLASSIC... get it and enjoy!"
