CD ReviewsAdam Johnson is talented! Roy-D | 01/24/2006 (5 out of 5 stars) "I wish Adam Johnson had 50 CD's. I'd buy everyone! I have not found another CD that I've enjoyed as much as this one. I guess Digweed likes Chigliak as well because "Traber" appears on his new CD. This is very unique chill music. Electronica all the way. Close to the last Deepsky CD but every cut on this one is good. For reference, who do I like? Sasha, Digweed, Deepsky, Uberzone, TCM, Yello etc. This doesn't have the long mixes that are so good for dancing or driving like Digweed's Hong Kong but it has it's own flavor. From beginning to end I never skip a cut. I know that this review might sound like I know the guy or own the record company or maybe I'm his PR guy but I just lucked out and found this CD on CD baby. Adam Johnson is a very talented guy!" Spellbinding Emlyn Addison | Providence, RI | 07/18/2009 (5 out of 5 stars) "A gorgeous blend of crisp rhythmic structures, deliciously fragmentary melodic material, and a moody ambiance that pervades Johnson's tracks. This is Arovane's minimalist harmonic sensibilities stretched over Autechre's austere architectural constructs.
Beautiful in its execution and reminiscent of both Aphex Twin's cacophonic percussive forays and Boards Of Canada's depth-of-field interplay. This is Murcof and Christ. on a surrealist pleasure cruise. Spellbinding." |
