CD Reviews

A terrific disc from a very entertaining group of guys
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I first encountered Ace and the Ragers through their live shows in Alfred, NY where myself and one of the band members attended college. The live show in itself is a blast; the guys have great stage presence as well as a live set that absolutely demands dancing until you drop. The disc manages to capture much of the terrific entertainment and high energy that is presented live, and is a good change of pace from what one usually hears on the radio. I highly recommend Ace and the Ragers to those who want to listen to some unique music that lets one cut loose. And if you have a chance to see these guys live, definitely jump on it!"
These Guys are Hot!
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I had heard this CD on the radio here in Cleveland a number of times, and I recently picked up the CD. I havn't been able to stop listening to it. I've also had a chance to check out their live show twice now, and they certainly put on the rockin'est show that I've seen in a long time. I'd recommend it highly for any fan of good, traditional Rockabilly/Rock and Roll. If these guys had been around 50 years earlier, they really could've given Bill Haley a run for his money!"
Ace & the Ragers: The real Sultans of Swing!
(5 out of 5 stars)

"OK, they may consider themselves a rock-n-roll band. But whether you like rock-n-roll, rockabilly, or swing, Light This Sucker Up from Cleveland's own Ace & the Ragers is for you. Their CD is guaranteed to get you off your seat and on your feet. Whether you're cuttin' the rug to "Boom Shanga-Langa", slow-dancing to the ballad "Christine", or just rocking to the direct and to-the-point "Beer", you will get a lot of plays from Light This Sucker Up. This is one CD that will not collect dust on your dresser after you play it once or twice. (Better still, see them live if you can. It will be impossible for you to sit down!)"
