Synopsis

Product Description
ALBUM DESCRIPTION: 9th s Opus: It s A Wonderful World Music Group Volume I is the most anticipated compilation project featuring the blog-heavy sounds coming from two nondescript camps called Jamla and The Academy. Until now. Artists whose joint home is It s A Wonderful World Music Group, founded by Grammy Award-winning producer 9th Wonder, form a roster of the most talented artists North Carolina has seen since the Justus League reined the scene nearly a decade ago. Listeners will be refreshed by the grittiness of Winston Salem s Big Remo, Rapsody s sharp lyricism, TP and Actual Proof s witty wordplay, Skyzoo s classic New York flow, and GQ s GQ style. Tyler Woods is the reminder that R&B wouldn t be what it is today without North Carolina. This compilation album represents the resurgence of a powerful movement that was started in North Carolina with contributions from 9th Wonder. His artists are the manifestation of that continued momentum. PRODUCTION: 9th Wonder, E. Jones, Khrysis, Kash, Fatin. BENCHMARK ARTISTS: Little Brother, The Roots, Scarface, Madlib, Jean Grae, Lauryn Hill BENCHMARK ALBUMS: Buckshot: The Formula // Little Brother: The Listening, The Minstrel Show // Lauryn Hill: The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill // A Tribe Called Quest: Midnight Marauders

very disapointing. 9ths production has actually declined as its gotten more technical. few good tracks here but nothing that was worth waiting for. plus the cover is bitten from Mr. Holland's Opus.
