CD Reviews

ALBUM OF THE MILLENIUM.
09/18/2002
(5 out of 5 stars)

"98's First release before EPITAPH got their tentacles on them. This is THE best album I have ever heard. I'd give it a 10 out of 5 if I could. Loud, Fast, Aggressive, and AMAZING Lyrics. Pats voice just grabs you by the throat and shakes you. MUCH better than their last two releases on Epitaph which are starting to sound more like Pennywise the more I hear them. Anyway, they still are my favorite band EVER."
Good South Bay Punk
09/02/2001
(5 out of 5 stars)

"First of all, this band is from the South Bay, which is Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, and Redondo, all beach communities in Southern California. This area has spawned many amazing punk bands such as Black Flag, Pennywise, and the Deviates. 98 Mute is just another one of these bands bringing the SoCal sound of fast and hard punk to the ears of the public. I don't know what that moron from Jeresey was saying about them being English.
Anyway this band plays fast and hard music, and they do it well. One of the songs on the album, "Painkiller" is featured on the soundtrack for the original Tony Hawk videogame, so it may sound familiar. If you like Pennywisw, you'll like this band. Buy the album, go from there."
If you don't have it, Buy it NOW!

"If you have it & don't like, there is something wrong with you. This is the Greatest debut album I've EVER heard (dead serious)! This is the only album I'll ever give 5 stars. These guys are even better than their punk siblings Pennywise. Theologian's best release EVER! If you buy it & don't like, feel free to harrass me via e-mail."
