CD Reviews

Long live the eyes
deus ex mecca | Miami, FL United States | 01/22/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"this cd is awesome, it's amazing, it's...it's tr00 goth-n-roll sleaze glam rock at it's best. i love every song, this album is pretty intense, compared to Paris Kills, Blessed Be, and Bump N' Grind, this album encompasses that transitional phase the eyes made from sleaze rock to goth rock. it's a very intense and strong album, but also contains a very dark element to it. the music is strong, it's all in your face style, and the lyrics scream for an 80's revival. overall, this album is a killer."
Great album from the 69 eyes

"I have listen to this album for a while now and i felt like write a rewiew for it because i can`t see no other have done it.
This is a bit harder album than their later album, a bit rawer and rougher in the songs and singing. It`s a high tempamental album with a lot of energi in it all the way. No ballads, it`s drive over all the songs. Not their best album but highly recomended listening. It`s easy listning so you get there fast and not have to listen careefully to hear what it is all about.Rough gitar playing with a bitt fuzz in, the singers voice are superior, dark, rough and a little bit fuzzy. But not yelling or gruff singing. Pure metal with a gothic influence. Great songs on this album: Wasting the dawn, Lazarus heart, All american dream, next stop paradise but the whole album is good listening."

"Well, this album is a good one. Its not my favorite of the 69 eyes albums, but it rocks nevertheless! This CD is more towards heavy metal than goth, and I guess is the album that send the band in a new direction.

If you are unfamiliar with the 69 eyes, you might want to start of with another album. Blessed be, paris kills, and Devils are all better albums,

If you allready listen to the 69 eyes, you need to get this one! It has a few awsome songs on it, even thought its not my favorite album it has my favorite song "wasting the dawn"."
