CD Reviews

Folk You - (see what I did there?)
firetrial5 | San Diego, CA USA | 12/20/2002
(5 out of 5 stars)

"The witty wordplay and explosive energy of this amazing band are just two of the things that make them a sound to behold. "28 Orange Street" is a taste of where the band came from, so don't let the production of a few of the tracks fool you. The cd is wicked entertaining. When you hear "Oklahoma", "What We Have Now", and "The First Time", relish the good life. When you so craftily root out the hidden track at 15:50 of the last track, laugh at the random craziness that is Adam Busch ranting about what it means to be an artist. But most important, when you hear this cd, get yourself to a live show ASAP. You will be blown away by these outstanding performers and the quality of the shows they put on. I guarantee you will love this band. You will. And if by some freakish twist of fate you don't want to catch a live show and become a Common Ro fan for life after listening to it, then feel free to find me on the street and I will buy you coffee AND give you your money back, baby. But I'm telling you it won't happen."

"The first time i heard Common Rotation was at a book signing, Adam and Eric played one song (the first time)acoustic, and i fell in love!! This cd is so great, especially the song Burgandy :)If you havent seen his band live you HAVE to, they put on an amazing show...so while this cd is just a taste of all the greatness Common Rotation has to offer, its definitely an awesome cd!!"

"but they soon will be. Common Rotation is a band born and from New York but now they are based in L.A. They also have a cult following. This band has legion of fans on both coasts, plus this group isn't just known in the usa this band is known world wide.Common Rotation has a rock, pop, folk, jazz, reaggae feel to them. I've read all the reviews and you all are right you have to see them live. they are just killa live in person.
5 stars thsi cd will give you a feel of their unique sound."
