Synopsis

Album Description
Over the past 15 years, Berlin has emerged as one of the world's leading party capitals! The weekly house/electro club night GMF, located in Café Moskau, has played a leading part in Berlin's party-culture since it's formation in 1996. GMF premiered as a ?Gay Tea Dance?, but has evolved into a full bodied party institution catering to a colorful and diverse party-populous. To celebrate this decade of exhilarating nights, GMF has teamed up with its top residents to create a party-timepiece, capturing the style and energy of the GMF-groove throughout the years including all time classics like Pete Heller?s "Big Love", Mousse T. with Emma Lanford?s "Right About Now" or BBE?s "Seven Days And One Week". Berlin's own Paul van Dyk has been a good friend and frequent guest artist at GMF since the beginning. Paul has remained an inspirational force on the GMF partyscape. This spring, PVD has teamed up with GMF Resident DJs Divinity and Super Zandy to produce a 10th year club mix, a compilation as tribute to the club and a city they call home!

CD Reviews

Hard to find a good place to crank this loud, but worth the
Aaron Prazan | Monterey Park, CA USA | 09/11/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This is some great house music. It's loud, clear, varied, and filled with surprises. This collection of classics is not your boring thump-tss repetition. Every song is interesting and different. Paul Van Dyk an co really found the gems in their collections and mixed them into a continuous blended party album worth playing over and over and over. I like to play it loud and in my suburban blandsville surroundings, it is hard to find a place to really get that gut bumping energy you'd get from a real high power PA in the club. Nevermind the neighbors, this music is worth a noise complaint or two."
