Frijid Pink's self-titled debut album is a slashing, seriously soulful example of late-'60s Detroit rock near its best. Formed in 1967, the group earned a Gold Record with their version of House of the Rising Sun on this album, which sold over a million copies and hit #7 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1970 .
