Just to give you a head's up on giving an extra credit for a CD.....I tried this earlier this month and the staff pulled my post. It's against the rules.

In my case it was for a CD that had been listed incorrectly 3 times so I offered an extra credit for anyone who could send the correct CD. My offer was deleted .

Here is the post:

Thanks for the warning, Toni. I deleted my offer so as to not cause trouble.

My intent wasn't to circumvent the system; I tried to specifically choose CDs that weren't on wishlists and wanted to do the transaction through the system so the club would still get the fee. I've been a little frustrated, as my wishlist has been stagnant since September 2006, and I was looking for a way to get a CD or two, other than looking at the Posted Today page, which never seems to pan out for me. I guess I just have to be patient and hope I get lucky sooner or later.

Jason, I hope you get some action on your wishlist SOONER... I really appreciate a member who's willing to live within the rules (and Toni is a great example), even when you might not see any logic behind them - I think most of the members feel that way. I would love to see this become as wonderful a place to swap cd's as PaperBackSwap is for books...

I must admit I looked at your wishlist and only was familiar with the Lou Reed cd. It's no wonder you've been waiting for awhile! Hang in there...

Plus it's a rarity to see Sufjan Stevens on here. I've only seen maybe 1 or 2 SS cds posted.

I have the Elliot Smith CD on my itunes, but not the actual store-bought cd. Would I be allowed to include this with a transaction of a store-bought cd?... PM me if you have any ideas and you're interested. It's a great cd!

Hannah, do you mean as a free bonus for an order? I'm really not sure what the policy is on that, but you definitely could not ask for a credit for it..

You probably should run it by Robert or Zack via "Send Us Feedback" or "Contact Us" to make sure it's legal to offer a copy; otherwise it sounds good.
