Please send any incorrect disc counts to us through Feedback. We double check the UPCs and/or CD titles on other databases and can change our database if it does appear to be wrong. And THANK YOU for deleting the CDs before going through with a swap. This saves us a lot of time and credit refunding if we can correct the errors BEFORE swaps take place.

Just wanted to let everyone know that we aren't ignoring you and we are sorry if it seems like that is the case. There is a problem with the postage estimates on SwapaCD and we working on getting that corrected. We are pretty sure that if you have been overcharged at all when using Printable Postage, you were refunded. If not, send us Feedback and we'll at least get your money refunded if needed. Sorry about the delay!

Toni B. beat me to it! We did not intend for this to occur with the updates we did concerning Printable Postage, but Toni's suggestions are the best way around it until we have a better solution. The cardboard option will still be cheaper and a good way to recycle your cereal boxes.

My response was to what Kendra wrote, implying that as long as the UPC matches, go ahead and post it. If the track listing in our database does not match what is on your CD, it is not postable. If you think our database is incorrect, let us know so we can look into it. If our database lists 13 tracks for a CD and your CD has 12 plus a 'hidden' track, then post it. If our database lists 13 tracks and your CD only has 12 with no 'hidden' track that you are aware of, then it is not postable. I am not too familiar with an 'unplayable hidden track', but if it is something that contains no content (no music or just a blank track), then it is certainly not required- I don't think there are going to be many cases of this.

If you are posting CDs using the UPC, you still must check to make sure the title, artist, and track listing match exactly. If you think our database is wrong, let us know, but you cannot just list a CD with a different track listing and disappoint the requesting member who ends up with a CD missing certain tracks they thought they were getting. Then you end up with a 'bad mark' on your account when the member marks the CD as received with a problem because the track listing does not match.

Just to ease your minds, we are very aware of the problem and listening to your suggestions, complaints, etc. We don't want y'all to think we are just ignoring the situation or hoping it will magically fix itself somehow. The first step we are taking that will hopefully clear up most of the problem is getting a new database, which will happen very soon. We are hoping with a better, more detailed database, will really help those of you looking for specific versions or releases. Tommy P.'s suggestion about PMing members if you have a special request is the best way to go about it. It only takes an extra couple of minutes and then you can be more confident in what you are receiving. Anything to ease your minds!

ZepFan is right abou this. Check out the Help Center document, "The sender hasn't responded! Should I cancel?". Link: http://www.swapacd.com/help/help_item.php?id=159

The system is smarter than you think- let it do its work!

Thanks Steve for pointing out the positives of our system. We are all about fairness here, so we tried to choose a time frame that was fair to everyone, including those who are not able or do not want to be on the computer all of the time. If we shortened the 5 day deadline to say 48 hours, we would be getting complaints from members who constantly get their requests canceled because they cannot log in to their account in time. Patience is the key to being a happy SwapaCD member. Instant gratification is not so much the key!

When you are in your Transaction Archive, you can see the reason for any of the symbols beside CDs by mousing over the symbol. There's also a description of the symbols in the Help Center topic that deals with your Transaction Archive.

We are very concerned with our members' satisfaction and are always working on making improvements that will benefit the club as a whole. Even if we don't make immediate changes, we are listening and will take into consideration all comments, concerns, questions, or whatever else you guys throw our way.

5 days is the maximum time a member has to respond before the request is sent to someone else. Check your Transaction Archive and see if the CD is listed there with an X beside it- if there isn't, then there's a problem. The system is working on finding you a copy and you will be sent an email if there are no more available copies to request. Until then, let the system do it's work!!

We have recently added an update to our database so the newer releases you have been searching for should be there. Let us know if there are still titles you can't find and we'll do what we can. We realize it is still not perfect and are listening to your concerns with Remastered/different versions and working on ways to solve this problem.

The policy has never changed about the sender getting credit and the requestor being refunded if a CD goes lost. You are right though, it is not very clear in the Help Center, but we are definitely not favoring the receiving member. It would not be fair to favor either member really, so we try to be fair to both in giving credits and then watching out for those that try to scam the system. So like I said, don't stress about it. Do your part in sending out CDs in a timely manner and follow all the rules, and you will get all the credits you deserve and remain in good standing. All you can do is worry about yourself and let us worry about delinquent members. Feel free to vent in the forums though if that helps!!

I wouldn't stress too much about people trying to scam the system. Yes, it may happen occasionally, but the site is very good about weeding those people out. They could keep the CD without marking it received, but that is recorded on their account and it will become obvious if they make a habit out of it. Plus, you are going to receive credit for mailing the CD regardless of whether it is marked received or not.  The system will take action after 21 days.

After you have been here a little longer, I think you will find the members to be a very honest bunch. Most people are the same as you and just want to get new, different, unique music to listen to- the bad seeds get tossed out!!
