Today I got a "Your Wish List request for a CD has been canceled" email that claimed "We sent you an email on 6/2/2020.  Since we have not heard back from you within 48 hours (2 days), we have released this CD into the main library."

However, I never received a "Wish Granted" email on 6/2 and thus never had a chance to respond.

I feel bad for the member who posted the cd who had to wait for two days before the cd was offered, and taken, by someone else.  And a bit bad for myself that didn't get the chance.

Likely because the set, http://www.swapacd.com/Andrew-Lloyd-Webber-Music-Magic-Andrew/cd/13255719/ , is not tagged with a genre.  If you remove the genre filter in your search it will be found.

Communication is always good, so when I have received a cd with a problem and marked it as such, I have always sent the sender a message telling him/her why.

It would be nice if the system, when automatically creating a request for a newly posted cd to the person first in line, if that request was done with the the "features" the cd was posted as.  Currently, as you describe, it is requested with the "features" of what the person first in line has specified - thus if the cd was posted with all inserts and the person first in line has it wishlisted as "disc only" the request will be for "disc only" - it would be nice if the request would be for all inserts as it was posted, even though it is specified "disc only" on the wish list.

Any extra items that are specifically mentioned in the CD title on SwapaCD must be shipped with the CD. For example, the CD "The Essential Gift Pack (Box Set) (includes book: The A to Z of Classical Music)" must be shipped with the mentioned book.  If the additional items are no longer available to be shipped, you may only offer your CD in our Bazaar forum, explaining in your post that the item(s) are not included.

This basically says that whatever is mentioned in the CD title as listed on swapacd must be included for the cd to be considered "whole", if you don't have the extra items you cannot even post it (only offer it in the Bazaar).  And conversely, if it is not listed in the title, then it doesn't have to be included.  I also thought I had read something in the Help section about box sets, something slightly different than the above.

The recommended way to send a cd is to send it without the case (and you can hold on to your cases when you send cds out and use them for the cds you received.)  It is described in the Help Center, e.g. if you follow the links below:

My experience is that the majority of swappers follow those recommendations, but some people do send the cases.

I downloaded, installed and ran ImgBurn.  And, when selecting "Create image file from disc", the readout says "Current Profile: CD-R"... :(

Although I don't know if that is a definitive ruling - I guess it is possible the people that create promo cds use CD-R? - it is time to contact Customer Support to avoid any future problems for me in case I want to trade this cd.

Then we have the question "when is a disc a cd-r?"  I recently received a disc that I thought was questionable - it is a promo and have what feels and looks like a plastic "cover" on it.  But the printing looks legit, with fancy fonts and logo etc.  So I assume it was a short-run of the promo discs and marked it received-ok.

It would be nice if the swapacd team put a button or link on the album pages to report data errors for the album on that page...

In the CD Bazaar, each member may start a maximum of 2 topics per day, and may "bump" a topic only once per day (not the same day that the topic was started). This is a rule.

• Do not continue to "bump" your older topics to the front page if you have any listings there already.
• Combine your listings! Any more than 2 on the front page from the same member will cause all of your listings to be deleted.
• This is to permit everyone to have a chance to have their topic appear on the front page for a while, and not be "crowded out" by one relentless poster.
