"I REMEMBER when they recorded this album. They were on the road.Mando is my brother. It makes me proud that his music &articles are in the University of Texas along with other latino artists that started a new wave of music in South Texas."
A Remembrance for the "Chili" Song
Gary L. Levine | Parker, CO USA | 08/23/2001
(5 out of 5 stars)

"My family literally grew up listening to this album. My father, Abe Levine, a retired Denver Police Officer, wrote the 1st track, I Love to Eat Chili in Chile, inspired (believe it or not) by my mother's famous chile! It is a delight to see this album re-released on CD. This is a great nostalgic album surely to delight listeners who grew up in the 50s."
On The Road With Rock 'N Roll
Dale W. Vigil | Santa Rosa, California | 06/01/2000
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Mando & the Chili Peppers were excellent musicians and entertainers. This record is a good example of the music that made them a popular touring band in the 1950s. A nice mixture of R&B and Rock & Roll. This album is a classic that all oldies fans should have."
