CD Reviews

Great songs, but a little pricey

(4 out of 5 stars)

"Fans of classic rock will pretty much agree that this album does contain some great samples from '70s rock. These selections are quite eclectic assortment led by standards from BTO, Elton John, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Van Morrison, and Jim Croce.

Only two questions exist in the mind of this reviewer regarding this CD and they are:

1) Why the salty price of almost $20 (especially when these classics can be found for under a dollar each at any music service - including Amazon) and,

2) What's the connection with the title, "Songs for Open Road"? Few, if any of the songs have anything to do with driving or travel.

All in all, though, if you don't have these songs on your computer or Mp3 player, then this album is a nice addition to any collection."
