This thread is dedicated to djtal (Daniel) for his mention of this sub genre of Jazz in another topic thread. I personally agree with what he said there - lots of lovely mellow listening to be had, not 'watered down' or elevator at all ;-)

Norah Jones and Dinah Krall pop into my mind first. Peggy Lee is a classic and Renee Olstead has impressed me but hasn't done lots yet either. Who do you like?

The Weather Channel has a few cds and give a good overview of smooth jazz artists out there.  There are also several cds from radio stations that have a good selection of smooth jazz artists.  You can get both here on this website.  Smooth jazz is a great genra.
