Hey, any recommendations for melodic death metal? It would ideally have a fantasy theme or even be instrumental, as I am picky about vocals.

I like Bal-Sagoth, Borknagar, Utopia Banished, and just discovered Manticora.

you may like "testament" they have a few instrumental songs you may like. their guitarist alex skolnik is very talented.chuck billy the singer has a voice like no other. i like them some songs are heavy and some are melodic and some are both try "musical death" and "return to serenity" for heavy melody try "so many lies"and the rest will follow. hope you like

If you liked Utopia Banished, try Dissection, Death and Kalmah. You will see where UB gets its influence.

Children of Bodom? I dont really like them but you might.
