It was one of his favorites and is definatly one of mine. This album is an interesting blend of Jazz and pop music. It is synthesized and electric in a way usually associated with funk, but overlain with Lateef's sax played in a very aggressive exploratory manner. It is one of my favorite funk, or jazz albums and continues to surprise. The electronic bass lines are a particular treat. The lyrics are wonderful and flow very well with the music. This album was an outgrowth of as collaboration with a variety of artists called the Autophysiopsychic Partnership which also published a volume of essays and poetry by Lateef called Something Else."
