CD Reviews

Best YES Album
A. Sneed | 01/31/2009
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I spent quite some time trying to find the best YES album I could and I think I have found it. All the good songs together for the first time. The only down side is a couple of the extra long songs are trimmed down a bit, unless you really know the songs you can't notice it."
Left out "Awaken"
Jon Remy | DFW, TX USA | 02/19/2009
(1 out of 5 stars)

"Being that they left out "Awaken" (the best song ever written by Yes in my opinion), I won't buy it. Besides, after waiting months a few years back for Yes to come to Dallas, they canceled the show at the last minute due to Jon Anderson's doctor's advice to take it easy on his vocal cords. I wish him well and hope he got over that illness, but I think the real reason was because they didn't sell out (I may be wrong and am sorry if that's not the case). I suppose I'll go see Yes one day soon, just as long as the lineup is Jon Anderson, Steve Howe, Chris Squire, Rick Wakeman, and Alan White. In my opinion, that is THE one and only YES lineup. Since my favorite album is "Going For The One," I suppose I was a little dismayed to see "Awaken" not included in this set. I'll probably break down and end up buying it nonetheless. So, despite this 1-star rating, please go ahead and consider it a 5-star rating, only because I love YES."
