"There is a lack of studio quality tracks available from Wild Turkey towards the end of their first incarnation. Yes there is 'Live in Edinburgh' and 'Final Performance' which do feature many of these tracks but the quality leaves much to be desired. This album comprises of nine band tracks and five bonus tracks featuring Gary Pickford-Hopkins. The sleeve notes which are comprehensive, warn that the tracks are demo tapes but I personally find that the raw edge to them improves the listening. The band tracks are all typical Turkey with twin & slide guitar work, good bass work from Glenn Cornick, lively percussion & piano with excellent vocals from Gary P-H. The additional five tracks from Gary are interesting and I wonder if they were to be worked up by the band or were intended to remain as solo work? With the excellent sleeve notes documenting the history of band releases and the musical content of the CD it is to be recommended."
