CD Reviews

Waylon's First Recodings
Stephen Wolfe | Mounds, IL United States | 06/13/2001
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Most of the material is from the "Live at J.D.'s" sessions. The two exceptions are "Jole Blon" and "When Sin Stops". These two tracks were produced in 1958 by Buddy Holly (Hence the CD's title). These are the first recordings by Waylon. The raw power that would develop into the voice of the Outlaw movement is evident, even at the beginning of Waylon's recording career."
