CD Reviews

The Future Looks Bright with Veronica on the Scene
Elizabeth Ali | Allentown, PA | 10/24/2001
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I am not a professional or anything, but after hearing Veronica's "Hope for a Brighter Future," I was amazed. After hearing them perform live a few times, I was impressed that their c.d.'s performance matched their stage performace, a feat I never deemed possible. The guys put the same amount of energy, talent, and fun into their songs as if they were performing live. The guitars are tight, the synth is awesome, and the drums are kickin'! The band comes together on every song and pours out raw emotion, which,in a world where the excessive teenie bopper junk has permeated the once halfway decent music scene, is something you don't see too often nowadays. Veronica is a breath of fresh air for music lovers everywhere, myself included."
Awesome

"Veronica need not have "hope for a brighter future", if they keep rocking out the way they do on this record. I'm no psychic, but I can forsee a promising future for this band. Their unique style of rock has great potential and is well worth a listen, or better yet a purchase, believe me, you wouldn't be disappointed with this phenomial album."
Ehhh they need more practice

"Ok, some people like this band. The kind of music I like is from punk(taking back sunday-rufio)to emo (saves the day-juliana theory) to somewhat indie... like the anniversary and superdrag. i read in a review somewhere that veronica sounded like these 2 bands so i checked it out, and bought the cd because of a song i heard called "here today, gone tomorrow". I liked that song a lot so when i heard the rest of the cd.. i was pretty dissapointed.
If u like lyrics that are deeper than:"you belong to me, i belong to you, we belong together, in everything we do" (featured in the song No more Lonely Valentines by Veronica)
and "I saw you walking off the bus today, you dropped your books i helped you out, all of my friends they've always said no way, im better off all by myelf"
Im afraid you'll be dissapointed like myself. Look I was so upset that i spend .. bucks on a cd that i wrote a review.
ok, so basically, if u like bands that are kinda pop punky and u dont care about the words or the unexperienced-highschool-boy-first-album-ever-made-by-this-band-lyrics then you might dig it, but let me tell you.. it still wont be your favorite album. They show some "hope for a brighter future" in their music, but this album isnt worth getting excited over. SO Download the music before u buy something you dont want."
