Nice Compilation of Mostly 90's Hits

"Rhino has released a second volume of their popular Women & Songs collection. Women & songs Vol. 2. This 19 song collection features an eclectic mix of female artists and their top songs from the 90's and post 2000.

The CD opens with one of the most popular female artists of the past twenty years--Madonna. Her song "Frozen," from her 1998 album Ray of Light is featured on the compilation. Madonna isn't the only multi-platinum female artist on this compilation. Janet Jackson ("That's The Way Love Goes,"), Enya ("Only Time"), Jewel ("Standing Still") and Natalie Merchant ("Carnival") are just a few of the multi-platinum female artists featured on this set. Also featured on the disc are Kylie Minogue, Brandy, K.D. Lang, and Natasha Bedingfield.

A few of the artists on this set are known for their biggest hits. Donna Lewis' song "I Love You Always Forever," is here as is the song "Lovefool," by The Cardigans. Vanessa Carlton's "A Thousand Miles," is also featured on the set. The biggest one hit wonder featured on the set is the song "Stay (I Missed You)" by Lisa Loeb.

Women & Songs 2 is a nice compilation if you are the type of person who digs compilation CD's. Being that a wide range of songs are featured on the set--pop, R&B, adult contemporary, you may find yourself skipping songs here and there. Overall, it's a nice set. The liner notes include photographs of all of the original CD covers for the albums which feature songs on the set. Most of the songs on the disc are from the 90's, so if you miss music from the 90's you will dig this disc.
