CD Reviews

Reggae Gold like no other.........Classic !

"This cd is a classic reggae cd and poeple who don't know about this series might want to start here. Every year they drop a new one..95, 96,97,etc..and they alwyas have the best cuts out in reggae. This one is no differnt becasue every jam here is tight and I never have to skip this when I play it. Tracks like beenie man and lady saw is tight. These 2 work good together and make this mid-tempo jam a classic. Tanya Stephens lets u know what u can handle on "Yuh Nuh Ready for Dis Yet". Her cd is another good one and I think she has one of the best new voices in reggae right now.(Check her out on Lil kims new one that's about to drop) Beenie rules the rest of this cd with the cut "Romie" and "Girl dem suga". It's worth it for that alone. The other half of this cd is concious /laid back tunes thats just as tight. the best one is "If Jah" with beres Hammond. Talking about why should he be afraid if Jah(God) is on his side. "Put Down the weapon of destruction" is another tight conciuos one with capelton. I could go on about this cd, but the only way for you to know for yourself it to get it. Take my word for it when I say it's worth every cent.Get it!"
This cd is hot !

"I enjoyed this cd very much for the simple fact that it's one of the very few cds that I've come across that I never skip a single track because I don't like it. Cds like this are scarce if you ask me.Some of my favorites on this one are : 1." Love Sponge"-Buju Banton, to tell you the truth I love Buju's music period. (2.)"Rubbers"- Frisco Kid , simply for the message. (3.) "Yu Nuh Ready Fi Dis Yet "- Tanya Stephens, I've loved this every since it dropped. Ooh you should've seen me when it fisrt came out and it was playing in the clubs. You couldn't tell me nothing! I know I was a hotty-hotty girl. (4.) "Romie "-Beenie Man was one of my favorites too."
