"How do I love this DVD? Let me count the ways: (1) For delivering up the beautiful hymns of my youth, yet minus the teeth grinding organ music; (2) For recognizing that not all new Christians think that singing the same 6 words over and over is worshipful; (3)Third Day's rendition of Blessed Assurance; (4)O Sacred Head Now Wounded, sung by Selah; and (5) It Is Well With My Soul, sung by Ginny Owens."

Great hymns collection

"Next Door Savior, released in conjunction with Max Lucado's book of the same title is a collection of hymns recorded by many of today's leading Contemporary Christian artist. This is an excellent hyns collection. My overall favorite track is Third Day's rendition of Blessed Assurance, with Michael W. Smith's All Hail the Power of Jesus' Name a very close second. Some other great cuts here include Ginny Owens' It Is Well With My Soul, Fernando Ortega's How Deep the Father's Love for Us, Watermark's In the Garden, Selah's O Sacred Head, Now Wounded as well as Wes King's When I Survey The Wondrous Cross. This is a great CD full of classic hymns done with contemporary arrangements. Listen and enjoy!"
