CD Reviews

Music... TO THE EXTREEEEEEME!
Jason Ford | Glendale, WI United States | 01/23/2002
(4 out of 5 stars)

"If you're an ECW fan, you shouldn't need much convincing to buy this album. I noticed that none of the reviewers went through song-by-song and gave you the ECW credentials for each, so I'll go ahead and do that here. This is Extreme! - First original ECW theme, used on ECW TV until 1999.El Phantasmo - Lance Storm's theme song from the Impact Players era.Walk - Rob Van Dam's theme song from the Mr. Monday Night/Whole F'n Show era.Trust (Instrumental) - ECW promo theme song, used during countless ads for upcoming tour dates. The Zoo - Used by Bam Bam Bigelow as his first theme song, and the theme song for Mike Awesome during the first few months of his reign as champion.Enter Sandman (Motorhead) - Sandman never used this song as his arena entrance theme, but it's the version that's dubbed over for his entrances on the ECW DVDs by Pioneer.Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck - Theme song used by Justin Credible for most of his ECW tenure.Phantom Lord (Anthrax) - No real ECW ties that I know of.Heard it on the X - Also no real ECW ties that I know of.Kick Out the Jams - Again, no real ECW ties that I know of.Big Balls (Muscadine) - Probably the weakest track on the album, and never used by Balls Mahoney in ECW. Balls used a cover of this tune, but the instrumetal was done by Boner, and he sang it himself.Huka Blues - Phenomenal Sabu theme song, used from 1998 to the time he left the promotion in 2000.Again, I'm rating the CD as an ECW fan, and I'll happily give it four stars. I'd give it five if not for the songs that ECW never used. In any event, happy shopping!"
GOOD COLLECTION OF ECW THEMES
MICHAEL TAYLOR | RICHMOND, VA USA | 06/08/2004
(4 out of 5 stars)

"THIS ALBUM OF ECW THEME SONGS, WHICH ARE MOSTLY A BUNCH OF COVERS OF OLD HEAVY METAL CLASSICS, IS PRETTY EXCITING TO LISTEN TO. THE BEST TRACK ON HERE IS BRUCE DICKINSON'S ''THE ZOO''. MOTORHEAD'S RENDITION OF ''ENTER SANDMAN'' IS VERY GOOD. THIS CD REALLY REMINDS ME OF THE GOOD OLD DAYS OF WRESTLING [BACK WHEN THERE WAS MORE THAN JUST THE WWE TO LOOK AT] THAT I'LL POSSIBLY NEVER SEE AGAIN. GET THIS CD NOW."

"What a great as well as COLLECTABLE disc,it SEEMS like everyone is covering everyone!Kilgore covering PANTERA'S "Walk",Bruce Dickinson covering the SCORPIONS tune "The Zoo",Motorhead covering METALLICA'S "Enter Sandman",Monster Magnet covering the MC 5'S "Kick Out The Jams" and Muscadine covering AC/DC'S "Big Balls".You get the idea.If you dig metal, pick this one up and crank it up to eleven. There's also an instrumental mix of Megadeth redoing "Trust" as well as a White Zombie tune,"Chicken Run Blast-O-Rama".VERY COOL!!"
