"This new CD Brown Girl In The Ring - A World Music Collection (Music For Little People) is a melting pot of various musical styles from different cultures around the globe. Hey, this collection may be aimed towards the children, but it is not for kids only. It includes 15 songs from 15 artists all offering they're cultured touch. All these recordings have been issued on previous Music For Little People releases. Highlights include: "Brown Girl In The Ring" (Cedella Marley Booker)/"Quavi Quavi" (Taj Mahal)/"La Bamba (Los Lobos) & "Choo Choo Boogaloo" (Buckwheat Zydeco). With those 4 songs you already visited Jamaica, Africa, Mexico and New Orleans! This CD is a musical passport for the listener and will bring great listening pleasure to not only the kids, but also any music lover. A."
Excellent "Kids" Music

"This is a great CD for both kids and adults. My 3 year old loves it and so do I. I don't mind listening to it "again." It has a really great mix of world music, including slow and fast songs, songs sung by men and women, all sorts of languages, some a cappella, great guitars by Los Lobos. My favorite is "Wimoweh (Mbube) The Lion Sleeps Tonight" (yes - the same song popularized by the Tokens) by Ladysmith Black Mambazo - what a voice. But they're all great. It really is a treasure."
