Album Description 2008 release from Van Der Graaf Generator, a collection of archive recordings from the band's 'lost' period, recorded between 1972 and 1975: Post Pawn Hearts and pre Godbluff. Peter Hammill personally compiled the album from rare and archive tapes. Some overdubs were added but the whole album was recorded in nine hours to retain the spirit of the original venture. Some are studio live recordings and others are studio rarities. They are often works in progress that never made it vinyl in this form but have the basis for later tracks. The 'Liquidator' is a beautiful 'pre-composition' of almost a full song, and STILL my favorite ;{ Keep in mind these are tapes from the PRE-CD Era!},so fidelity is NOT the reason for purchase!!! , but *TRUE*! VDGG *Outakes from studio sessions I still love and cherish! SUMMARY!; If you are a"DIE HARD VAN FAN" as I AM, You MUST! purchase this for historic sake..
