Synopsis

Album Description
The Heavy Metal community gives its bands a pretty wide berth; that's one way to explain the success of Uriah Heep. Some will tell you that they were not the best band in the world, but that's not being fair to this multi-talented group of individuals. The group have consistently produced a series of high quality hard rock, and have lasted longer than most bands of that genre. This CD use tracks from Uriah Heep's more eclectic side. It comes with new liner notes from Record Collector's Joe Geesin, and is a great addition to the ever expanding Heep Catalogue. Sanctuary. 2005.

(5 out of 5 stars)

"This isn't the ultimate example of Uriah Heep's overall success because honestly, just look at the tracks and you can plainly see it focuses on the later part of their career. However, it's nice that someone was kind enough to put together a good collection of songs from the later part of their successful run as a rock band, instead of going back to the same old early 70's hits. To me that's a very good thing. Variety is always a positive in my book. And let's not forget the most important thing- these songs are actually good. So there you have it. Not essential but enjoyable all the same."
